The Staff & P&C Association of Begonia State School supports a dress code for Begonia State School students. It is believed that a student dress code promotes the objectives of the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006.
In particular, the Staff & P&C Association supports the intention of a student dress code in providing a safe and supportive teaching and learning environment by:
- ready identification of students and non-students at school;
- eliminating distraction of competition in dress and fashion at school;
- fostering a sense of belonging; and
- developing mutual respect among students through minimising visible evidence of economic or social differences.
Uniforms are sold through our P&C Association. Uniforms are housed at the school and can be obtained by contacting the school office on 07 4625 7445 and asking for the Treasurer/Uniform Coordinator.
Begonia State School School uniform consists of:
- Begonia State School Polo shirt
- Royal blue shorts, skirts or skorts
- Royal blue Begonia State School uniform hat
- White socks and joggers for footwear
- It is strongly advised that children bring their own water bottles to school. We do have bubblers at school that children can refill their water bottles from.
Note: State Delivered Kindergarten students are not able to wear the school uniform for safety reasons. They are able to wear Kindy shirts available through the school office.
Hair
- Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied up. Hair scrunchies/ribbons/headbands must be one of the three school colours (royal blue, sky blue or white).
