Begonia State School is a small, rural school located approximately 80 kilometres from St George, along the St George-Mitchell Road. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Queensland's outback, our school is at the heart of a close-knit community, with all of our students and most of our staff living on nearby sheep and cattle properties.
We are proud to offer a unique and personalised learning experience through our single multi-age class, which caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 6. This structure allows us to foster strong relationships, encourage peer learning, and provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of every student.
Our school community is strengthened by an active and engaged Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C), which works collaboratively with staff to enhance learning opportunities and provide a supportive environment for our students. Together, we celebrate the achievements of our students and the strong sense of connection that defines Begonia State School.
At Begonia State School, our dedicated staff are deeply committed to the learning, growth, and development of each child. We strive to nurture confident, capable, and resilient learners who are well-prepared for the future, while also instilling a love of learning and a respect for the unique environment in which we live.
We invite you to discover the warmth and spirit of Begonia State School – a place where every student is valued, and every achievement is celebrated.
